Google recently announced retirement of their anti-spam service, Postini. Postini has served us well for a number of years as our back-end service provider for spam control, but with the retirement we need to move to a new solution.
Anti-Spam service is something you don’t want to worry about, and CanIt® allows just that. Roaring Pengin has been making inboxes spam-free since the 1990’s and has many international organizations and universities with tens of thousands of email users as their customers. Roaring Penguin’s CanIt® product is their core business. Spam control is “what they do”, meaning they don’t have another primary line of business with spam control on the side. Spam control IS their business.
We are excited to bring the CanIt® service to our customers starting in early November, 2012. Customers subscribing to the optional FPO Hosting Anti-Spam service will receive notices with more information about the migration in late October. There will be no changes required during this transition, and no allowed or blocked senders or domains will be lost in the transition. The transition will be totally hands free and will not require any reconfiguration whatsoever.

We are currently making plans to upgrade our web server to a brand new server with more features, flexibility, and reliability. This migration will begin in late February and will continue until all domains are moved successfully. The new server move will allow better fault tolerance for hardware failures and additional monitoring by our colocation/data center facility.
Update April 15, 2008: The migration is complete and has been a transparent process for all of our customers. The results of the move to new servers with better services have been positive.
